The West Texas Fair and Rodeo is almost here.
Staff are gearing up for the long-time tradition.
Many put in long hours on Labor Day to get things ready.
General Manager Rochelle Johnson said the final touches began two weeks ago.
Some of the behind the scenes work includes painting, cleaning, and organizing ticket packages.
The event will kick off Thursday at the Taylor County Expo Center and run until September 16th.
"We have to get out here and get to it, even if it's a holiday. If we wait to the very last minute, it's just a little bit harder to get everything up to code and the way it needs to be," Karina Escobedo said.
