A school district is ready to bust out the hard hats after Tuesday’s election.

Wylie ISD’s $45 million project got voter approval.

This means bigger campuses in Abilene.

But it also means taxes will go up.

It will increase about $11 a month for residents who live in the area and are over 65 years old.

The superintendent said the school is filled to the brim.

He added that 2,000 more kids are projected to walk through

Bulldog hallways in the next 10 years.
