A new study says college majors play a key role in determining your salary in the workforce.
College-bound students need to carefully look at their options when they choose a career path.
The research also found there is an 11.5 percent average gender pay gap for women by the time they have five years of work experience.
“The highest-paying college majors are almost all in what they call STEM fields – science, technology, engineering and math. So, computer science and engineering ended up being the highest paying majors in our study,” Doctor Andrew Chamberlain, a chief economist with Glassdoor, said.
