Multiple agencies from the Big Country have gone down to south Texas to help with the hurricane relief. The Texas A&M Forrest Service said even through the disaster, Texans are coming together to help.
Phillip Truitt, emergency management team's public information officer, said, "One of the things I've seen here is Texas helping everybody across the state and showing the willingness to donate either time or money -- you know, neighbors helping neighbors."
Phillip said the love he has seen from everyone helping is a perfect example of the true Texas way.
He said these cities may take months and even years to rebuild but the Texas spirit won't go anywhere.
