Cisco College will offer their new Certified Medication Aide Program starting Oct. 2, 2017 allowing medical professionals to advance their skills and earning potential.
According to Cisco, "Certified Medication Aides, as members of the healthcare field, are frequently in demand and afforded an above-average salary based on experience.
Certified Medication Aides are permitted to administer medications to residents in nursing facilities, intermediate care facilities for individuals with an intellectual disability or related conditions, correctional facilities, long-term care facilities and assisted living facilities.
This 12-week course is holding classes on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday evenings at the Abilene Education Center, located at 717 E. Industrial Blvd. The program includes 140 hours of classroom, lab and practicum experience in an approved facility, costing $1,300.
