On Sept. 19, 2017, a 26-year-old woman reported that a man that she had dated twice came to her home unannounced. After he knocked on the door, she opened it and was surprised to see him because she had never given him her address before.
According to the police report, the suspect's demeanor became hostile so the victims picked up her phone and dialed 9-1-1. The suspect then ripped the phone from the wall and forced his way into her home.
As the victim started running away from the suspect, he punched her on the back of the head and knocked her to the floor, grabbed her hair and banged her head on the floor multiple times.
She then ran to the kitchen, grabbed a knife and went into her bedroom. But, the suspect broke down the door, splitting it in two pieces.
According to the report, "she held out the knife to defend herself and he took the upper part of the door and struck her with it and knocked her again to the floor. While on the floor he stomped her with his foot multiple times."
The suspect was able to get up, run outside to a neighbor's house for help. The suspect then ran out of her home and got into a car and fled the scene.
