The showers and thunderstorms that rolled through the Big Country last night dropped a decent amount of rainfall to help aid in the drought conditions we're facing.
Data collected through 7 a.m. CDT by the CoCoRaHS (Community Collaborative Rain, Hail and Snow Network) shows the following estimated rainfall across west Texas:
-San Angelo: 0.54"
-Dyess Air Force Base: 0.5"
Most of the rain showers raced east after 6:00 a.m. We can expect additional rain chances through much of the next seven days.
