United Airlines has announced its crew members will no longer be able to take the seats of civilian passengers who have already boarded overbooked flights.

Under the new policy, crew members must make bookings at least 60 minutes before departure.

The change comes as the airline faces massive criticism and a large drop in market share after the video of a man being dragged of a United flight caused significant backlash.

A spokesperson for United says the changes are to make sure last week’s incident “does not happen again.”
