Hollywood Nation: Apr. 19

Today's entertainment headlines.

Guardians gets a threequel, Hart heads back to school and Brown’s alleged assault hits the Hollywood Nation.

Chris Brown is back to behaving badly. According to TMZ, the hip-hop star sucker-punched an in-house photographer at a Tampa Club early Monday morning, sending him to the hospital. Police are investigating Brown for battery. The photog plans to press charges and sue.

Just weeks after dropping out of the live-action Barbie movie, Amy Schumer has already landed her next gig. The funnylady is set to produce and star in the top-secret comedy I Feel Pretty. The plot is being kept under wraps.

Another comic is bringing laughs to the big screen. Kevin Hart has signed on to produce, co-write and headline the action-comedy Night School, based on Hart’s own original story.

Country superstar Carrie Underwood surprised hockey fans in Nashville on Monday night, stepping onto the ice to perform the National Anthem before her hubby Mike Fisher’s Predators faced off against the Chicago Blackhawks in game three of the Stanley Cup playoffs.

And the Guardians of the Galaxy sequel hasn’t even hit theaters, but it looks like a third installment is already in the works. The famed Marvel franchises’ helmer, James Gunn, announced the threequel via Facebook on Monday, writing he’s on-board to write and direct.
