ABILENE, TX - Hundreds of people in Abilene woke up Thanksgiving morning without a place to go for a meal.
A restaurant opened their doors to them.
Lucy's Big Burgers has offered a free Thanksgiving meal for the past 5 years.
It started as a way to help the homeless.
Now, they serve anyone who walks through their doors.
They said people without family here, first responders, and regular customers need a meal.
"It doesn't matter who they are because there's so many people that are traveling or that just doesn't have any family or a place to go," owner Amy Graven said.
Last year they fed over 600 people.
