Abilene High Band and Color Guard Sale Fireworks for Funds

ABILENE, TX - The Abilene High band and color guard are hard at work during summer vacation.

They've set up shop in a fireworks mega store.

Every year, they earn around $20k from fireworks sales to keep their program running.

Staff on the board for the band sais this allows many kids to participate in the programs.

"Things like get water for us in the stands because it gets really hot in those uniforms. Go on trips and it helps us

like, pay for the busses. And it helps us eat meals and stuff,” said band member Hailey Isbell.

They run the stand for about 10 days.
