ACU students research may change lives

ACU students hope research will change lives.

ABILENE, TX - Students and faculty at Abilene Christian University are cooking up ways to change the world from their 'NEXT' lab.

They are using a common household ingredient: salt.

They're working to discover energy that is less expensive and safer, water that is pure and abundant, and medical isotopes.

These would be used to diagnose and treat cancer.

The project started about a year ago.

Thousands of dollars were donated so the research could get started.

They hope to find global solutions for the world's most critical needs.

“I think the people of Abilene will be excited to here that we’re doing this kind of research in town” professor Rusty Towell said.

An open house will be available to the public on Nov. 11th, from 11am to 1pm.
