ABILENE, TX - The Children’s Art and Literacy Festival is turning pages in downtown Abilene.
The event is celebrating Garth Williams. An exhibition showing his famous artwork and books will be in the city for three months.
Fox 15 caught up with the co-founder of the Society of Children’s Books, Writers and Illustrators, Stephen Mooser. Mooser traveled all the way from Los Angeles to experience “The Storybook Capital of Texas.”
“I came here because I’m a big fan of Garth William’s art and Charlotte’s Web, and I love Abilene from my previous visit,” Mooser said.
Mooser said he has traveled all over the world with is organization. He has donated artwork to the exhibit as well.
