HOUSTON - It all happened in about a minute.
Two men took their game of beer pong out to the street.
“They were like, you know, ‘Let’s play beer pong on the street.’ I told them we should, ‘let’s do it,’ so we did and we set it up, the beer pong, everything together,” Sol Uresti said.
Uresti’s friends grabbed their phones and started recording the game. Later, it was uploaded to Facebook and is said to have more than 130,000 views.
“’Alright, let’s do it -- I’ll record’ because I wasn’t trying to get in trouble. We did it. We didn’t expect it to get a lot of views, but yeah, it made it out there.”
We met the guys out at the same intersection a day later to have them tell us how they did it.
“We set them up in the parking lot, we put the juice, we put the cups and then we just carried the table to the street…Everybody was honking at us, laughing, recording us and everything. but yeah, don’t do it. It’s kind-of dangerous.”
How long were they out there?
“About one minute, but it took five minutes altogether.”
With a few red Solo cups and a two-liter of Coca-Cola, the guys showed us how it was done – and even made me throw a few unsuccessful attempts.
I’ve got to admit, with the wind and distracting traffic nearby, it wasn’t that easy.
“We were right there. People were honking and everything, but most of the people and honking [was] like, ‘Oh, y’all are crazy.’”
