Livestock auction benefits West Texas Rehab

West Texas Rehab took a different approach to raise money for their patients. They hope to raise about $90,000.

ABILENE, TX - The West Texas Rehab had their 58th livestock auction.

They use the money to be able to accept any patient who comes in their doors.

Donors at the auction spent hundreds of dollars on horses and cookies.

The center helps people with a wide range of disabilities.

"There's a large number of people that are less fortunate than we are. Some of them are children who were born with birth defects or were born with a disease early,” chairman Red Steagall said.

They hoped to raise about $90,000.
