4 State prosecutors assigned to Abilene case

ABILENE, TX - Chief Standridge also provided an update on a human trafficking investigation.
70-year-old Howard Collier was arrested for the continuous trafficking of person in December.
This comes after Standridge asked the public to come forward with info on the man being involved in child sex crimes.
Court records show Collier confirmed he paid a 17-year-old female $1,000 in cash to engage in sexual acts with him.


Chief Standridge says "Assistance was requested from the Texas attorney general's office and they have assigned 4 prosecutors to this case. These prosecutors specialize in human trafficking."

Collier is out of jail on a $25,000 bond.
Chief Standridge says...as of now no more victims have come forward.
We will continue to follow this investigation as it develops.
