A shortage of inmates leave Jones Co. cemeteries over gown

Jones County's cemeteries are over grown due to the lack of inmates at the county. It is the inmate's responsibility to maintain the landscape at these cemeteries.

JONES CO., TX - The residence of Jones County are upset that the cemeteries have not been maintained to people's expectations. Now, it is the responsibility of the inmates of the Jones County Jail to maintain the landscape of all the cemeteries in the county, but, there are simply not enough inmates to get the job done. 

Jones County Sheriff's Office said they are happy the jails are housing a small amount of inmates, but unfortunately now, the work isn't getting done. The sheriff's office didn't have an answer to what now will be done. 

Some residence have actually mowed their own family's plots to do away with the over grown grass.
