Command handed to Col. Brandon Parker at Dyess Air Force Base

A new change in command was honored today at Dyess Air Force. Col. Brandon Parker is the new commander.

ABILENE, TX - The morning of Aug. 4, Col. David Benson handed over command to Col. Brandon Parker. 

Col. Parker received his commission from the U.S. Air Force Academy and started his career in the Air Force as a B-52H Stratofortress pilot. Parker also previously held the position of the 2nd BW vice commander, at Barksdale Air Force Base in Louisiana.

Parker's new duties will involve being responsible for the health and welfare of more than 12,000 active duty members, civilian employees and family members. He also provides combat-ready B-1 aircraft, aircrews and associated combat support for global engagement tasks.
