DCJ Employee Arrested for Possession of Child Pornography

ABILENE - The Abilene Police Department arrested an employee from the Department of Criminal Justice for possession of child pornography on Thursday.

Paulin Yagnia Gatchoua, 27, is accused of uploading child pornography to Facebook.

The arrest warrant states Gatchoua was working for the Department of Criminal Justice.


That warrant also states, on June 1, 2017, The National Center for Missing and Endangered Children gave a tip that Gatchoua was uploading child pornography to his Facebook profile.


It was a 52 second video of an adult male having sexual contact with an infant girl.


Facebook released this statement to Fox 15, it reads in part (full statement below):
"...when such illegal behavior is detected on our site we work hard to find whoever is responsible and work with relevant law enforcement agencies to bring them to justice."

Facebook stresses that it takes child exploitation seriously and works with agencies across the world to investigate and bring justice.

Facebook also told Fox 15 they will further investigate Gatchoua's profile.
He has two charges, possession with intent to promote child pornography and possession of child porn.
Gatchoua's bond has been set to 90-thousand dollars.

Full statement from Facebook:

"We do not allow child exploitation on Facebook. In the rare instances when such illegal behavior is detected on our site we work hard to find whoever is responsible and work with relevant law enforcement agencies to bring them to justice.

“We believe that our comprehensive reporting system and community standards help make Facebook one of the safest places for people to spend time on the web. We urge people to use our reporting and blocking tools if they find content which makes them feel uncomfortable so we can investigate and take swift action.”
