Dyess AFB remembers prisoners of war and those missing in action

Dyess Air Force Base members walked three miles to honor those who were prisoners of war and missing in action.

ABILENE, TX - On Sept. 15, Dyess Air Force Base honored members of the military who were prisoners of war or missing in action. Dyess hosted a ceremony where member of the force walked three miles. 

The base itself was actually names after William Dyess, who was himself a prisoner of war. 

Organizer, Michael Denapoli said, "This flag means more than just, you know, prisoners of war, missing in action. This flag represents, you know, the hero we're talking about every day."
