Wylie High School raised over $1,000 towards Harvey relief with 'hat day'

Wylie High School hosted "hat day" to raise donation for Harvey victims.

ABILENE, TX - Wylie High School worked to help those affected by Hurricane Harvey with "hat day." For a donation of $3, students could wear a hat for the day. 

So far, the students have raised over $1,000. 

Wylie teacher Reagan Berry, said, "We have a big, nice plane here with kids willing and wanting to help anyway they can. Why not take advantage and help where we can."

The school is planning on doing another fundraiser at the end of the month.
