Tension with N. Korea and Guam hits home for Abilene as 300 airmen return from the targeted country

The tension with North Korea and Guam hits close to Abilene as 300 Dyess airmen return from Guam.

Even though tension is high between Guam and North Korea, some of Abilene's own military members who served there returned home the week of Aug. 7.

Over 300 Dyess airmen returned from their six month long deployment in Guam.

Dyess staff said they were deployed to support a continuous bomber mission.

This is a reminder of how close to home the issue is for the community.
