An event was held in Abilene on Monday, meant to raise awareness about sharing the road with motorcyclists.
During the “Ride to Work” event, the Abilene Police Department escorted a group of riders from the Taylor County Coliseum.
The message was simple: look twice – you could save a life!
“It’s almost work riding a motorcycle. You have to keep your head turning, anticipating what’s coming, anticipating what’s coming from behind you. You have to be cautious every step of the way,” Dean Carter said.
The motorists rolled all the way to Kent’s Harley-Davidson for a free meal after the ride.
