Hundreds of Kiwanians are in town to talk serving their communities.

It’s an international club.

“I wanted to give back to the community, and since I do not have children of my own, I thought the Kiwanis Club would be the perfect fit for me,” Treasurer Tim Adcock said.

There are over 400 people in town to discuss ways to give back.

“To get a little bit of inspiration to take back to our clubs,” Christine Curtis-Carr the District Convention Chair said.

The Abilene Convention and Visitors Bureau said it’s the kind of event this community loves to host.

“To have them chose us to come in and have their convention, we feel is a huge honor for us,” Pam Sites the CVB Director of Conventions Services said.

The convention will wrap up Sunday, and the members will take their ideas back to their communities.
