Even with the caveats, it sounds like a great deal. Pay Arby's $6 on Friday and the restaurant chain will fly you to Hawaii!
The widely-reported caveats: the trip will only last one day. It's part of an effort by Arby's to promote its new King's Hawaiian sandwiches.
Still, the promotion has generated excited headlines online like "Arby's is selling a $6 trip to Hawaii — with a slightly cruel twist" and "Arby’s will be offering $6 trips to Hawaii. But there’s a catch."
There certainly are catches worth noting in the fine print, which states that the trip will only be given to 10 customers on a first-come, first-served basis through the Arby's website.
Five trips will be given to the first five customers who go to https://arbys.com/aloha at noon EST Friday, fill out a form and submit a $6 credit card payment. An additional five trips will be given to the first five customers who go to the website at noon EST Monday, fill out a form and submit a $6 credit card payment.
So unless you're really fast online, you probably won't receive a trip.
And even if you have set world speed records for filling out digital forms, you might not want to try and win the Arby's trip. According to the fine print for the promotion, customers who get the trips also will have to sign a liability and publicity release, submit for a background check and be willing to appear in an Arby's commercial.
