In expectation of severe weather, the Abilene Independent School District announced it will move campus release times ahead one hour Monday.
A release from the district said:
"We have been notified by the City of Abilene (Emergency Operations Center and Abilene Fire Department) that they expect us to experience severe weather around dismissal time today. In an effort to keep all students and staff safe, we will be releasing ahead of our normal schedule by one hour today. All buses and end of day processes will occur one hour earlier than normal."
