ABILENE, TX — Whether it’s every second Thursday of the month or not. Locals will see Bird Thomas at any place that smells like art. Thomas is a staple of the art community in Abilene and after many, many years of service Thomas is retiring.
Her new successor will be Manny De Los Santos.
Thomas will officially begin her retirement at the end of the month. But she is still going to be involved in the Abilene art community with events like Artwalk, Art HEALs and other events.
As soon as she passes on her leadership hat, she will switch it for a tourist hat to wear as she travels the world.
