The driver of the fatal hit and run, Teresa Ann Dominy, was booked and released today on a $15,000 bond.
Dominy could still be facing up to 20 years in prison and a $10,000 fine.
The original accident report said Dominy was driving eastbound on Stamford St. when she hit Robin Caldwell, 55.
After the accident, Dominy left the scene. Dominy's vehicle was identified and found abandoned over 60 miles outside city limits.
Caldwell was later found dead on the scene by police.
Texas state law requires all parties from a wreck must stay present until police arrive to investigate and the same goes when there is a fatality.
Police are still investigation, but don't believe alcohol was involved.
