Maryneal, Tx. — A grass fire is said to have started at around 2 in the afternoon on Monday.
The Sweetwater fire department along with the forest service and several other local departments said it was started by lighting.
According to the Sweetwater fire department chief, 40 acres around Maryneal were caught on fire.
Everything was contained by 9 pm and no injuries were reported.
