Abilene police working to ID suspects in multiple robberies

Abilene Police are trying to learn the identities of two men who are suspects in multiple robberies in Abilene.

ABILENE — Abilene Police Department detectives are trying to identify two suspects who have been caught on surveillance videos robbing several convenience stores.

According to APD, the two men entered a convenience store on the 1000 block of North Clack Street just before midnight on Sept. 28. At that robbery, police say one of the suspects displayed a handgun and demanded money from the store’s clerk, while his accomplice stood watch near the door.

Police believe the pair have robbed additional stores. Money and merchandise were taken during each robbery. APD said the other robberies were as follows: Nov. 11, 11:37 p.m. in the 3400 block of Ambler Avenue; Nov. 20, 10:50 p.m. in the 2700 block of North First Street; and Nov. 20, 11:42 p.m., in the 5100 block of Buffalo Gap Road.

Anyone with information, or who recognize either suspect, is asked to contact Abilene Crime Stoppers at 325-676-8477. Tipsters will remain anonymous and could receive a cash reward.
