ABILENE, Texas — The Abilene Police Department is asking the public’s help locating Caleb Fears, 27, of Abilene.

Fears has an arrest warrant for aggravated assault stemming from a drive-by shooting that occurred Dec. 21, 2018.  On that date, a group of friends were outside of a home located in the 1100 block of South 6th Street, near Elm.

A vehicle driven by the suspect with its lights off, proceeded to drive at a high rate of speed. The homeowners confronted the driver, who then pulled a handgun and shot multiple rounds at the home. A 13-year-old female who was in the home was almost hit by one of the bullets, police said in a press release.

Although no one was injured in the incident, the young girl was visibly shaken by the shooting.

Anyone with information on Fears’ whereabouts is urged to contact either Abilene Crime Stoppers at 325-676-8477 (where you will remain anonymous and eligible for a cash reward); or the APD’s Criminal Investigations Division at 325-676-6610 and reference case number 18-113715.
