In north Abilene, a 65-year-old woman called police accusing her granddaughter of pulling her hair and "slinging" her into furniture, injuring her.

The granddaughter, Sara Vasquez, 21, came to her grandmother's home for her 2-year-old daughter. The grandmother didn't think it was a wise decision and was worried for the child's safety.

The 65-year-old woman was then "slung" into some bedroom furniture by Vasquez, causing a bruise a on the victim's shin. According to the victim, this caused pain.

According to the arrest report, the victim's written affidavit was consistent with the injury. The affidavit and photos of the injury were booked into evidence.

The Vasquez left the scene and called police. She was contacted by the Abilene Police Department and was arrested for injuring an elderly individual with intent of causing bodily injury to an elderly individual. Vasquez was booked into Taylor County Jail with a $7,500 bond.

Vasquez was booked on Oct. 9 and was released on Oct. 10.
