New pop on the block

ABILENE, TX — The newest hangout is owned by two sisters turned business partners.

"Our J stands for Jennifer and the C stands for Claudia and so that’s how we ended up getting JC's Light house and you know she’s my light house"

Their goal - become the beacon that attracts visitors to Abilene’s SODA District.

The sisters serve up Italian soda, chocolates... and a good time.

"It’s for everybody and that’s what its designed for and everything in between. We have a great vision for this place and it’s to be the best little food truck corner in West Texas"

Jennifer Moore and Claudia Anderson work full time in the community. Jennifer is a nurse and Claudia works at St. Pauls church.

"Not a lot of sleep and we’ve gone home really dirty and tired in the evening but i think because of our faith we’ve been able to pull through and make it work"

Both sisters live a life of service and their business model - is no different.

"They’ve educated about 144 church planters and started about 25 schools there"

10% of their proceeds go toward mission work in Cambodia.

They say - this is just the beginning and they’ve got big plans for JC's Lighthouse.

These sisters hope their passion for service bubbles over to anyone who walks through the doors...and they leave seeing the glass half full.
