ABILENE — The family of Jeannine Quinn held a press conference to announce an increase in the reward for information that leads to the arrest of the person(s) responsible for her April 2018 murder.
The initial $10,000 reward has been increased to $11,645.
Here is the full statement released to the media by Quinn's family:
"As you may be aware Jeannine Quinn was reported missing to the Levelland police on April 15th 2018. Her body was discovered on April 17th 2018. Jeannie was found hanging in a field near Arnold Boulevard and Marigold Street in Abilene with a "hard wire" twisted around her neck. The autopsy report called her death a "staged hanging" and she died of asphyxiation.
At the time of her murder Jeannie had just turned 20 years old and had her entire life ahead of her. She was a sweet and shy little girl who loved to paint and take pictures. Jeannine was very creative and talented when it came to art. Jeanine also loved animals and would groom them part-time. Even though Jeannie was 20 years old, she was just a child at heart who loved spending time with her family. She was a sweet and innocent person.
Jeannie touched the lives of so many people. She was a loving daughter, granddaughter, sister, niece, cousin and friend, and we all miss her very much.
On Wednesday, December 19th 2018, at 10 a.m. Jeannie’s family, along with investigators in Jeannie’s murder, will hold a News Conference at The Abilene Police Department, 450 Pecan St, Abilene TX. 79604 on the 2nd floor lobby.
We (the family) are looking for anyone that will come forward with information that would help lead to the arrest and conviction in Jeannie’s murder that occurred back in April 2018. Jeannie was last seen with an older white male who was also from Levelland TX, and traveled between Abilene and Levelland frequently. We believe someone from either Levelland and/or Abilene will have information.
The family is offering a $10,000.00 reward. This reward has increased to $11,645.00 through a Gofundme campaign set up by Jeannie’s family. We are pleading with the public for information so we can get Justice for Jeannie and possibly spare another innocent victim and family.
