Reynolds shining at a young age for the Bearcats

Hawley is heading back to the playoffs again as they currently sit in third place in their district.

With only one team left on their schedule the Bearcats are 19-7 and looking to get to 20 wins tomorrow.

Now they've had to rely on a couple fresh faces to dominate this season. One of those is sophomore Jaren Reynolds and he has stepped up.

Reynolds is second on the team with 11 points per game.

His great play has helped translate to wins.

“He's a young kid but he's had to grow up really fast.” Mitch Ables, Hawley Athletic Director, said of Reynolds. “You know it's just kind of the process. He doesn't put up many bad shots. He kind of picks and chooses when to take the shot and he's a pretty good decision maker.”

Now Reynolds will be an important piece for Hawley in their season finale against Albany.

When they last faced off the sophomore scored 12 points, which was tied for the most scored.
