ABILENE, Texas — An Abilene man has been arrested a second time for distribution of child pornography.
According to the Abilene Police Department, Ryder Altman, 27, was arrested Thursday for first degree felony distribution of child pornography. Detectives with the APD’s Cyber Crimes Unit arrested Altman in June 2017, for the same charge. He pleaded guilty to that charge and received a sentence of one month in jail and 10 years probation from a jury of his peers.
In late February 2019, Altman was found to be downloading and distributing child pornography again, through similar means as his previous arrest. Detectives served an arrest warrant at his home in the 800 block of Beretta Drive in south Abilene Thursday afternoon.
Altman is being held in the Taylor County Jail on a $100,000 bond.
