ABILENE, TX. — For the second time this year, the Taylor county health department is hosting a dental special. For $100 you get covered for a comprehensive exam, x-rays, and basic cleaning.
"We really want to encourage people to come for preventative care, a lot of people tend to wait until there is something wrong at that time," says assistant of health services, Annette Lerma.
The health department also encourages parents to take their little ones as soon as they start getting their teeth in, to prevent further tooth decay when they're older.
