Tuesday, May 2 is the last day of early voting for Saturday’s election.
Hours have been extended at some voting polls.
In the city election, mayor and City Council Place 3 are up for grabs.
One currently council member says it’s important to do research on your candidates before you cast your vote.
“Go back and look at the debates, look at the forums. If there are questions in there that you’re specifically concerned about, I would say contact the candidates. We still got plenty of time to do that. That is the most simple way to do it,” Kyle McAlister said.
The Taylor County Plaza will be open until 7 p.m.
